Mahanati

Cast : Keerthi Suresh, Dulquer Salman, Samantha, Vijay

Director : Nag Ashwin

Music : M J Meyer

DOP: Dani Sanchez - Lopez

Story:
This is the story of the greatest actress of all time based on the autobiography of Savitri Garu.

Review: Firstly special thanks to Keerthi Suresh and Nag Ashwin for taking up this magnum opus biopic of Savitri Garu.

I personally love Savitri gari cute, chubby, innocent, lovable, comic timing expressions along with her dialogue delivery.
When you start watching the film, you will enter into the world of Savitri and also feel she is acting in her own biopic. Such is the dedication by Keerthi Suresh and resemblance to Savitri was also an added advantage to the film.

Here is my find when she(Keerthi) did her first film in Telugu.

Keerthi just lived the life of Savitri in the film. Perfect find for the role. She just recreated the 50's life of mahanati and her roles. I have seen few of the films acted by Savitri garu. I could definitely feel that Keerti resembles her in the walking, posture, attitude, acting and innocence.

Dulquer Salman, my favorite from malayam industry proved with his ease of portraying the role of Gemini Genesan. How many of you started hating Dulquer for this role? Means he lived in the role of GG.

Rajendra Prasad, Prakash raj, Naga Chaitanya, Srinivas Avasarala, Krish, Shalini did their part with so much comfort in their respective characters.

Mohan Babu as SVR was perfectly suited.Samantha and Vijay did their job well.

Nag Ashwin have taken take care of the very minute detail in the film. He created the character of Singitam though it doesn't create an impact. How many of you know that Singitam Srinivas worked as assistant director under KV reddy.

I personally liked the scene where Naresh says 'I don't know Savitri, I know only Savitri Garu'. That shows the respect to savitri garu.

Music : Mickey has given the best music for this film which comprises of old melody like Mooga Manasalu and Title track was the main highlight for the film which depicts the life of Savitri in the complete song.

Rating: 4.5/5

Bottom line: Savitri Garu lives ON.

Rangasthalam

Cast : RamCharan, Samantha, Aadi, Jagapathi Babu

Director : Sukumar

Music : Devi Sri Prasad

DOP: Rathnavelu

Story:
This is a revenge story of deaf guy in a village, set in 1980's.

Review: Have you ever watched a film of 1980's starred by Chiranjeevi, Krishna, Shoban babu. Nope!! Here it is, directed by our very own brilliant director "Sukku".

Coming to my analysis:

Ram Charan proved that he can also make wonders with his acting and expressions. I personally feel this is his second film after Magadheera. It almost took 10 years to deliver superb acting in this film.

Single expression actor have transformed to multiple expressions actor with this. Special thanks to Sukku for extracting acting from RC :P

He was almost in every frame of the film throughout. I could remember see only Chittibabu in the film, such is his dedication. When he was hitting 'society' guy, I almost got goosebumps.

Samantha(Ramalaxmi) had given superb performance in the de-glamorized role. It was a cakewalk for her.

Jaggu once again made an impact with his versatile acting without uttering words as an antagonist.  No one does feel that he didn't utter much words in the film throughout.

Rathnavelu(DOP), the man behind the magic of 1980's. The very scene where I got flattered was the fight in the paddy fields where chitti babu involved, it was so realistic that one can feel it was happening before your eyes.

Aadi after doing villian roles in the recent times, the character as Kumar Babu was one of the best roles he has done in the recent past.

Sukku presented the film in 1980's and showed the bonding between the brothers and characters, voice modulation, dialogues well. He is a creative brilliant.

+ Points: Ram Charan, Samantha, Jagapathi, Aadi performances, climax twist.

- Points : Length of the film.

Music :  Background score by Devi was very impressive.

Rating: 3.5/5

Bottom line: Enjoy 1980's revenge drama.

AWE!

Cast : Kajal, Nitya, Eesha, Murali Sharma, Regina, Priyadarshi

Voice Cast : Ravi Teja, Nani

Producer : Nani

Director : Prashanth Varma

Music : Mark K Robin

Story :
If I tell the story, you will miss the essence of the film :) :)

Review: This is Natural Star's first film as producer and also as a voice actor after doing some routine stories as an actor since an year. He came up with a different concept which no one has touched till now in tollywood. Hope he would be continuing in giving good movies as an actor as well as producer.
Nani succeeded in getting ensemble cast for this unusual story.
There are little similarities with the movie "Inside Out".

Coming to the review, the plot starts with the introduction of all characters till first half. You need to catch up with the stories happening else you will be lost in the screenplay.

I wouldn't be able to tell more the characters. It would ruin the significance of the plot.

Kajal played an important and vital role.

Though Nani and Ravi Teja's voice doesn't add up to the plot, they could able to bring some laughs.

We need to appreciate the art department, it was indeed best in the recent times.

+ Points: Screenplay and climax

Music :  BGM was good.

Rating: 3.5/5

Bottom line: Need to be 'Awe'd!

Nannaku Prematho

Nannaku Prematho movie review
Cast : Jr. NTR, Jagapathi Babu, Rajendra Prasad

Director : Sukumar

Music : Devi Sri Prasad

Story:
Abhi, a guy who wants to take revenge on a rich businessman to fulfill his father's last wish before he die.

Review: Let me start with Jagapathi Babu, how many of you watched "Athade Oka Sainyam" starring JB portraying as a hero. Nannaku Prematho story is almost similar to that movie's story. Ironically, in former JB was protagonist and in the latter he was antagonist.
This is just my observation.

Coming to Nannaku Prematho, a routine story with classy taking, perfect and calculated screenplay. Every scene was interlinked. Sukumar, right from his first film, there were always few scenes which competes on par with Hollywood scenes. Whatever calculations he has done for few scenes in the film which can be really possible, they can't be deniable like fight in Churchill road.

Thanks for introducing the concept of killing the emotion on a particular thing within time. Why sukku just can't move to Hollywood to make films which could be accepted allover the world?

We will expect more of this kind of brainy films from you in the coming future(which excites me more).

Coming to NTR, he just excelled in the role as Abhi, an NRI, a classy makeover after Temper. Even his dialogue modulation has changed a lot for making his presence classy. Thanks for coming out of your regular commercial formula stories. You deserves a big applause for taking up the film. His scenes with JB and Rajendra Prasad were highlights.

Rajendra Prasad, needless to say, he is most finest actors in the industry in the recent past. Despite his short role, his presence felt throughout.

Jagapathi Babu, Tollywood got another talented actor who can fit into antagonist roles hereafter. He did the Krishnamurthy role with ease though lagging in few scenes.

Rakul Preet Singh, the gorgeous girl did a good role and her dubbing was also perfect to her role.

+ Points: Jr.NTR look and performance.

- Points : NA.

Music :  Music and BGM were good.

Rating: 3.5/5

Bottom line: Class meets science.

Srimanthudu/Selvandhan

Cast : Mahesh Babu, Sruti Hasaan, Jagapathi Babu, Sukanya, Rajendra Prasad

Director : Koratala Siva

Music : Devi Sri Prasad

Story:
Harsha, son of a billionaire adopts a devastated village to renovate it better.

Review: Mahesh came with a different concept after two blockbuster flops last year. He is undoubtedly one of the best actors in the industry has given one of his best performances in his career. His cool attitude and mannerisms are highlights for the film without any powerful dialogues like in regular movies. Few were repeated costumes. Mahesh will definitely walks away with an award for 2015.

Shruti Hasaan's glamour was one more good point, she improved a lot in terms of acting, Her lips looks like borrowed from someone.

Jagapathi Babu as father of Mahesh suited well and as a billionaire with attitude. After his complete transformation from hero to character artiste, this will stand as one of his best characters.

Koratala siva took a "story" and added commercial elements around it with right elevation at times needed. Though the film starts on a slow mode but picks up the pace in the second half. Thanks to Siva for making for a stylish film.

+ Points: Mahesh Babu's presence and performance.

- Points :
Climax, slow narration.

Music :  Devi has given an average score compared to his previous albums, Charusala was a catchy number.

Rating: 3/5

Bottom line: Rich at heart.

Baahubali - The Beginning

Cast : Prabhas, Rana, Anushka, Nassar, Ramya Krishna, Thamanna, Satyaraj

Director : S.S.Rajamouli

Music : M.M.Keeravani

Story:
Feel the story on big screen.

Before I jump into the review, I would like to thank S.S.Rajamouli for making biggest motion picture ever in India with his spectacular visualization and perfect team.

Review:

Ramya Krishna, her eyes speaks everything. I always look for her presence in films since Padayappa. She got yet another powerful performance oriented role after Ammoru and Padayappa. She slipped into the shoes of Rajamatha's with ease. He got the beauty to the Rajamatha.

Nassar : He did a very good job as a father of bhallaladeva with his expressions.

Prabhas : Perfect for Bahubali role, showcases his goodness through out the film. He will be remembered forever by audience.

His another role Shivudu was just awesome, initial few scenes where he lifts the shiva linga and the shots taken while climbing the hill stands best in his career.

Anushka : Though the role of Devasena was very short but it was a vital character. Her presence as a de-glamourised was good.

Rana : The evil performer in every frame. Thanks to his antagonistic expressions and a bulky physical appearance. He would rule Tollywood and Bollywood in the coming future .

Kattappa : The slave at heart but shows heroism with his abilities and loyalty to the core.

Thamanna : She did a good job as Avantika, the lady warrior. Her chemistry with Prabhas was good though there were very few scenes.

Kalakeya: We must talk about Kalikeya, the deadliest. Prabhakar, this guy was just simply superb. His makeup and dressing were highlights in his character designing.

Let's talk about the person behind this magnificent film with an exceptional visuals and screenplay.

He is kind of a person who always thinks above the world,
ask him to make coffee with 100/- , he would give STARBUCKS coffee in return with the same money. His screen writing skills were exceptional. He deserves to be equally respected with the legendary directors of India, he is no less to Hollywood directors as well. We could see each penny spent in this film on screen.

The people of world cinema will start recognizing Tollywood before Bollywood. This will stand as the movie of the century from India.

+ Points: Cast is the biggest asset to the film, cinematography.

- Points :
Little slow narration in first half but there is no problem with that. It is needed to make audience to get the thrill at the right moment.

Music : The background score by M.M. Keeravani has given yet another brilliant like he did for all Rajamouli's films.

Final Note : While making a biggest motion picture ever, there would be few flaws which could be easily waived off compared to the best shots of the movie.
I won't say, the movie was perfect without even a single mistake, there is that rope pulling scene where it looks very unreal that rope was lose when Shivudu pulls the statue of Bhallaladeva.
I am not criticizing this scene, I am wondered how Rajamouli could miss a small logic.

Climax : I want to make a point about the climax, NO it is not ended abruptly. He ended at the right moment to carry the suspense till next year.

 Rating: 4.5./5

Suggestion: Don't even think to skip this movie. These kind of movies comes in a while to be watched on big screen.

Bottom line: TFI's pride.

OK Bangaram

OK Bangaram telugu movie review
Cast : Dulquer Salmaan, Nitya Menon, Prakash Raj

Director : Mani Ratnam

Music : A.R Rahman

Story: O Kadhal Kanmani/OK Bangaram is a story of a boy(Adhi) and girl() who are very aspired about their careers with Mumbai as a backdrop. They both stay in a live-in relationship in an old couple's home as both of them don't have good opinion about marriages and rest of the story bounds whether they went into wed lock or not.

Review: Mani Ratnam is back with his favorite genre(Romance) by teaming up with A.R Rahman, the best combination for love stories in terms of visualization and music.

The story starts with director's style of making, the scenes are very lovely and naturally pictured. The characters and dialogues are realistic. This film is a very youthful entertainer. One would doubt that this was really directed by Mani Rantam, Oh Yeah!
This depicts the story of the present youth in India.

The chemistry between Dulquer and Nitya was one of the highlights. They made the story elevated with their performances. Prakash Raj has played a prominent role in the film.

We should talk about music by A.R Rahman, music was a sure shot highlight of the film which uplifted the scenes. Mental Madhilo is my personal favorite and Raara Aatagaada.

Note: There is a hiccup around the story line saying that live-in relationship might affect youth with wrong vibrations. What's wrong in that. Grow up people.

+ Points: Dulquer,Nitya,Music,Cinematography.

- Points : Little slow in some places.

Rating: 3/5

Suggestion: Go and fall in love with Bangaram.

Bottom line: Mani Ratnam is back with a BANG!

S/o Satyamurthy

S/o Satyamurthy telugu movie review
Cast : Allu Arjun, Samantha, Nithya Menon, Upendra

Director : Trivikram Srinivas

Music : DSP

Story: This is a story of a person, Viraj Anand whose father dies in an accident. The remaining story is about how Viraj carried the values of his father.

Review: Allu Arjun till now acted as a lover boy, in this movie he acted as a loyal son to keep up the values of his father even after his sudden death. He did his part well and shared the screen in every single frame of the film. He carried the sentiment very well in climax scene.

Samantha and Nithya did well though they didn't last much on screen.

Trivikram has gone in Bollywood style by casting a big time in the movie with no appealing story. He even tried to capture the audience of Tamil Nadu by making the story around Tamil region, this must  the idea of Allu Arjun as he was lacking in Tamil box office.

Trivi should concentrate more on story, he must have thought while scripting the story that like his last film Attarintiki Daredi, if one make the story around sentiments, it would appeal to audience but one would expect a story.

Upendra's role is one of the highlights and his presence left a mark on the film. Thanks to Trivi for casting him.
Rajendra Prasad did a very confusing role in this film, I couldn't get the complete understanding about role as it acts weird at times and funny some times.

Music played an important role, Super Machi and Seethakalam songs are the chart busters.

+ Points: Upendra's acting.

- Points : Routine story with weak execution.

Interesting Points : Upendra acted in Telugu after a long gap.

Rating: 2.5/5

Suggestion: Watch for Upendra.

Bottom line: Sentiment won't work all the time.

Temper

Temper movie review
Cast : NTR, Kajal, Prakash Raj

Director : Puri Jaganadh.

Music : Anup Rubens

Story: This is the story of Daya, a corrupted police officer who does anything for money.

Review: NTR has given an high voltage performance after a long time(after Raakhi). This film is a complete makeover for NTR right from hair, costumes and of course body. His character is the main highlight of the film.

First half goes as a routine story but highlights the mannerism and characterization of hero. The second half would be like a gooseflesh ride(I don't want to talk about more on this, you feel it). Prakash Raj as usual delivered an impressive performance.

Posani's character will leave a mark in everyone's mind. A meaningful character.

Kajal has given a decent performance. Ali and Saptagiri wasted.

The climax scene was never ever seen in any of the past films.

+ Points: NTR, background music by Mani.

- Points : No content in first half.

+ Interesting Points : Climax twist.

Rating: 3.5/5

Suggestion: Must watch(second half).

Bottom line: Theaters need to increase A/C cooling in second half to withstand the temperature.

I-Manoharudu

I movie review
Cast : Vikram,Amy Jackson, Upen Patel, Suresh Gopi

Director : Shankar

Music : A.R Rahman

Story: Lingesan is a body builder dreams of becoming Mr.India. He happens to meet diya, a top model and remaining is the story.

Review: The most talented director of India, Shankar came up with another small story by executing his out of the world thoughts to the story. Thanks to his grandeur presentation of the story. He is the best in filtering the exotic locations for songs.
He has made best ad films as part of the story better than the ones which are running in the small screens now(Televisions).  He should have cut shorted few scenes in the editing room itself.

Personally I liked the song "Pareshnayya" for its picturization.

Vikram has given the one of the best performances in the three different characters. We must appreciate him for his spell bounding dedication for a cinema like this. He did lot of transformation to his body. His acting and appearance makes us amazed. His performance as a hunchback was a terrific one.

Amy Jackson was really fitted into the role of a super model(as in real life). She was gorgeous and sensuous and she got some space to do some acting after doing couple of films in the past.

Suresh Gopi was good as a doctor.

+ Points: Vikram's acting, locations and cinematography.

- Points : The duration is too long.

+ Interesting Points : Three distinct roles by Vikram.

Rating: 3/5

Suggestion: Go and watch it, just for Vikram.

Bottom line: Vikram, Vikram and Vikram!

Gopala Gopala

Gopala gopala movie review
Cast : Venkatesh, Pawan Kalyan, Shriya, Mithun

Director : Kishore Kumar

Music : Anoop Rubens

Story: Gopal Rao is an atheist. One day his shop collapses because of natural calamity. Later what happens is the story.

Review: The most anticipated and most awaited movie of the tollywood industry got released. This is an official remake of Oh My God. Here it goes the movie review:

Coming to Gopala Gopala, Pawan Kalyan as god has done an excellent job with his mannerisms, punch dialogues and presence. The story was completely same as it was in the original but Pawan as lord krishna makes us feel different. Thanks to his POWER.

Venkatesh need less to say, he is one of the best actors of tollywood once again proved himself with his acting, he carried the story very well with a touch of humor especially the court scenes.
Everyone would compare Venkatesh with Paresh Rawal in terms of performance. I feel Paresh did well as he was a well settled stage artist and played the same role on so many stage shows before making a film out of this story.

Personally I liked the scenes between Pawan and Venkatesh.

OMG movie goes with a serious plot makes us involve in the story, where as Gopala flows with the same feel but with a pinch of humor.

This movie is a path breaker for all the movies which are currently running in theaters. I wish tollywood would come up with these kind of distinct plots.

We should thank Mithun for reprising the same role.

Shriya and Krishnudu did their part well.

+ Points: Venkatesh's acting

- Points : Little long compared to original.

+ Interesting Points : Mithun cameo and Pawan and Venki acted first time.

Rating: 3.75/5

Suggestion: Must watch. Don't miss it.

Bottom line: Its pure Venkatesh entertainer.

Mukunda

Cast : Varun Tej, Rao Ramesh, Pooja

Director : Srikanth Addala

Music : Mickey J Mayer

Story: Mukunda is a calm going guy who can't stop himself from fighting on the bad things in the society.

Review: The film starts with a dialogue "I didn't write any story, lets take this guy's story as the film refering to hero". The plot also goes like that only. Movie starts with some story and ends with a different story for the audience.

Varun as a debutante hero got full marks as Mukunda when comes to acting and dance.

The movie makes an impression whether it happens in a village or a city. There are very scenes where we can notice city. Director must have taken care of it.

The only highlight of the film I feel is Rao Ramesh, son of Rao Gopal Rao. He has given full justification to the character with a different mannerism like never before. We could say we got a perfect character artist.

Prakash Raj played a role of a wanderer, his presence must be a guest role.

Overall, just an OK movie, watch if you wish it. Or just skip it.

Songs picturization was good.

+ Points: Rao Ramesh

- Points : No love track.

Rating: 2.25/5

Suggestion: Don't watch it. Seriously you might get headache.

Bottom line: Confusing Mukunda.

PK - Peekey

PK movie review
Cast : Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma,

Director : RajKumar Hirani

Music : Ankit Tiwari

Story: Aamir Khan lands on earth for a research with a locket which is a key for his return. He would be looted by a local leaving him isolated. The remaining story bounds around whether Aamir returned to his planet or not and what he has done on earth in his tenure.

Review: The trio Aamir, Rajkumar & Vidu came up with a extraterrestrial-comedy-social plot after the blockbuster movie 3 idiots. Lets see how it goes:

Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood, Aamir Khan is back with a bang after a disaster Dhoom 3 back in 2013. His stories selection is always out of the world kind of subjects.
He has given a world class performance as PK through out the film. I wish he does these kind of films now and then which would give a positive impact on the society.

Anushka Sharma played a vital role next to Aamir, she was able to make a mark with her acting but couldn't make an impression with her beauty as she looks odd after the lip surgery.

Sanjay Dutt, Boman and Sushant made their usual presence felt.

How could we not about the director, Rajkumar Hirani. The way he handled the subject was really impressive. A thought provoking plot with a right mix of comedy and love.

+ Points: Aamir Khan, Plot.

Interesting points: Ranbir Kapoor cameo. There are few words coined by director in the movie would come into regular usage.

Rating: 4/5

Suggestion: A must watch. DON'T miss.

Bottom line: A thought provoking entertainer.

Interstellar

Cast : Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathway, Matt Damon

Director : Christopher Nolan

Music : Hans Zimmer

Story: Some astronauts goes to saturn on a mission.

Review: Nolan yet again tricks the viewers with a mind spinning plot in Interstellar. I wonder, how could he ideas to make the viewers bang their heads or make them watch the film more than once to understand the story what he wanted to show in the movie.

Seriously, till some point of the film you would think that you interpret the core story, but there will be always a twist. Even I was in the perception that I understood the story but there is a tricky part in Nolan's films as in all other films.

Few scenes were really shot well, thanks to the cinematographer.

Matthew has given another spellbound performance and elevated few of the scenes with his acting.

Anne Hathway was good as Dr. Brand.

+ Points: Matthew McConaughey, Visual effects.

Interesting points: Matt Damon played a surprising role in the film.

Rating: 3/5

Suggestion: I can't comment on this.

Bottomline: You need to study physics first to pass in Interstellar exam.

Haider

Haider movie review
Cast : Shahid Kapoor, Shradha Kapoor, Tabu, Key Key Menon.

Director : Vishal Bhardwaj

Music : Vishal Bhardwaj

Story: Haider comes back to Kashmir after hearing his father's missing news. Later he searches for his father and get to know about the killings of innocent people by military. The story unfolds what happened to his father.

Review: The complete movie was shot in Kashmir. This is an inspiration from a Shakespeare's Hamlet.

A brilliant piece of film by giving the right place for all the emotions, relationships and thirst for political power and love. He  has shown the killings of innocent people in Kashmir by militants and military. The story starts with a slow pace but at the end of the film, you would be so involved in the screenplay to kill the antagonist at the end.

Shahid Kapoor has given befitting performance as a broken son in search of his father and helpless guy, couldn't kill the person who is responsible for the situation he was in.

Tabu's character is one of the pivotal characters in the film, who marries her  brother-in-law after her husband mysteriously disappears. She has done a wonderful job as a mother of Haider.

Key Key Menon and Shradha Kapoor did their part well.

Music Dept: Seriously, there is no much back ground score to compose in this film. But there is one certain music which iterates through the movie in your ears and makes a "feeling".

+ Points: Plot, Tabu, Shahid Kapoor.

Interesting points: Inspired from third installment(Hamlet) of Shakespeare trilogy after Macbeth and Othello .

Rating: 4/5

Suggestion: Must watch.

Bottomline: This is a pure Vishal Bhardwaj's movie.

Govindudu Andarivadele

Govindudu Andarivadele review
Translation: Govindudu is people's man.

Cast : Ram Charan, Kajal, Prakash Raj, Srikanth

Director : Krishna Vamsi

Music : Yuvan Shankar Raja

Story: Abhi Ram lands in India after listening his father's fight with his grandfather to unite them again. The rest of the story tells whether he is successful in his attempt.

Review: Krishna Vamsi once again showed his talent in a kind of films he is best for. Tho ugh it is a kind of a plot we have been watching in the earlier films in the past few years but the narration was bit different with Krishna Vamsi's mark directorial skills.

The hero of the film is of course Prakash Raj, he shown his versatility in acting as a strong grandfather who strives for respect in his village.

Ram Charan was the backdrop for a film like this who need to do acting through his expressions in emotional scenes, he couldn't do any better. For few scenes, he should have made us cry, but failed. Even Krishna Vamsi couldn't able to squeeze the acting skills from Ram.
"He must have bunked expressions classes while he was in Satyanand School of acting"

Kajal was so cute, gorgeous and sensuous. She is more beautiful than in Chandamama, thanks to Krishna Vamsi.

Jayasudha, as grandma steels the show with her natural acting and screen presence.
Srikanth was well suited to the character.

Music Dept: All the songs were good. Neeli Rangu Chiralona and Rara Raj Kumara were my favorite.

+ Points: Prakash Raj and direction.

- Points: Ram Charan.

Interesting points: Ram Charan and Srikanth acting for the first time.

Rating: 3/5

Suggestion: One time watchable.

Bottomline: Krishna vamsi back to his mark movies. Its a Krishna vamsi's show.

Aagadu

Aagadu movie review
Translation: He don't stop.

Cast : Mahesh Babu, Thamanna, Sonu Sood.

Director : Sreenu Vaitla

Music : S.S Thaman

Story: Hero happened to transfer to a new place called Bukkapatnam where there was a antagonist who tries to start a power project which will be harmful to neighborhood people. Later there will be a clash between hero and villain and it goes till the end how hero stopped the project and killed him.

Review:  Firstly Mahesh had given yet another spell bounding performance, his dialogue modulation was little fast compared to earlier movies. Thamanna was an utter waste in the movie, she couldn't make any impression.

Sruthi Haasan was also failed to felt her presence. Other actors like M.S Narayana and Bhrammi were just okay.

Coming to direction department, I think Sreenu vaitla must be watching Dookudu while writing the story for Aagadu. He not only copied the story but also locations, cast and songs. He should have kept some time for story while scripting instead rather than just on dialogues.

I would say watch Dookudu movie again by just imagining Thamanna in the place of Samantha.

I am wondering why Mahesh said "This film would be a turning point in my career" in the audio function.

Music Dept: Music is just okay barring Naari Naari song.

+ Points: Mahesh.

- Points: Story, cast, what not everything.

Interesting points: Third time as cop by Mahesh, third film with Thaman and 14 Reels.

Rating: 2/5

Suggestion: Watch Dookudu in your homes rather than going to Aagadu.

Bottomline: If you are hard core fan of Mahesh, watch it.

Power

Power telugu movie review
Cast : Ravi Teja, Hansika,Regina

Director : K.S Ravindra

Music : S.S Thaman

Story: Back in kolkata, Ravi Teja is introduced as a corrupted cop. After few minutes, he was rumored to be dead in an accident. Then lands again in Hyderabad with another Ravi teja who aspires to become a police officer. Mukhesh Rishi asks Ravi to act as a police in kolkata to save his mother. Then story unfolds the twists towards the climax.

Review:  Coming to review, first half is entertaining with Hansika's glamour and saptagiri's comedy.
Ravi teja yet again proved that he is best in serious roles and as well as comedy. His roles as Tirupathi and Balidev Sahay in the movie were well executed but missing few logical answers.

Second half was a mix of so many previous films in the recent past but the execution was little different and holding the twists till the end.
Regina felt her presence though it was short, Hansika played a glamour role.

Kota and Mukesh rishi were at their usual best in the roles.

Director Bobby tried to make the film a complete entertainer but failed.

Music Dept: All songs were good. Devuda song resembles Govinda Govinda even in the picturisation.

+ Points: Ravi Teja acting.

- Points: We have already experienced these kind of stories in the past.

Interesting points: Third time as cop by Ravi. One song sung by him.

Rating: 2.75/5

Suggestion: One time watch.

Bottomline: .Treat to Ravi Teja fans.

Rabhasa

Cast : NTR, Samantha, Pranitha

Director : Santosh Srinvas

Music : S. Thaman

Story: The story revolves around a US return student Karthik who pledges to marry his uncle's daughter Indu which was his mother's wish.Later he meets another girl thinking that she is Indu, the story takes twists and turns.

Review: Lets see how did it go!
NTR proved again he is always best in any kind of character with different shades. He was there in every frame. No doubt he has given full justification to the character. NTR's costumes were really good.
Samantha was as usual cute and tried to make herself as a glam doll, but failed.
Pranitha did a decent role, personally I don't find any charm in her though directors are happy to sign up her for the films.

Coming to the movie review, director should have inspired from the movies which were relevant to this story, instead he cut copied most of the scenes from previous telugu films. There were the scenes with comedy which would bring to smiles on the audience faces.
A big casting doesn't make any difference if there is no proper content in the film.

Overall, movie is just average.

Music Dept: Except Raakasi song, none of the songs in the album were bad in terms of taking and music.

+ Points: NTR

- Points: Routine story and casting.

Interesting points: No points to talk about.

Rating: 2/5

Suggestion: You can watch for second half.

Bottomline: Very disappointing.

Mardaani

mardaani movie review
Translation : Masculine

Cast : Rani Mukerji, Tahir Raj Bhasin

Director : Pradeep Sarkar

Music : Shantanu Moitra, Karthik Raja

Story: The story is about the police and gang which involves child trafficking. A girl, who is like a daughter to Rani (Shivani Shivaji Roy) will be kidnapped and the story starts by tracking and finding out the girls who were all kidnapped by the gang.

Review: The movie jump start into the story once the titles are done. The plot is more of a Taken 2 movie from hollywood, but the execution was a bit different.

Rani fit into the role of a tough cop from crime branch. This is another heroine-centric movie after No One Killed Jessica and apt for the title role, she carried the emotions and character very well at the same time, thanks to her taking up this role instead of taking glam roles.

Tahir, who acted as the mafia king was perfect for the role. He would definitely hit the bulls eye, if plans his career well.

Overall, though there are no entertaining elements, you won't be bored.

Music Dept: Though there is no scope for songs, music director has given a good background score.

+ Points: Rani's performance.

Rating: 3.5/5

Suggestion: Watchable.

Bottomline: "Mard"aani.
